Kansas City Chiefs heiress, Gracie Hunt, has thrown her support behind a competing Super Bowl event, praising Erika Kirk and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) for creating an alternative halftime show designed to counter the NFL’s official headliner, Bad Bunny.

The announcement of Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny as the official performer for the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show sparked significant cultural and political debate, leading conservative non-profit Turning Point USA, under the leadership of CEO Erika Kirk, to announce their own counter-programming event: “The All American Halftime Show.”

A Call for Role Models
In a recent appearance on “The Will Cain Show,” Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, enthusiastically endorsed TPUSA’s initiative, stating she was “most definitely” looking forward to the alternative performance.
Hunt singled out Kirk for praise, commending her for “creating a halftime show for America.” Her support centered on the need for the Super Bowl’s entertainment to reflect certain values for its vast, young audience.

“Children are young, they’re impressionable. Young women, young men and everyone, they just need someone to look up to,” Hunt explained, suggesting that the official Halftime Show should prioritize role models and cultural grounding over just current trends.
She also referenced her grandfather, Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt, who coined the term “Super Bowl,” noting his belief that the league should not “rely on cheap appeal” to promote its biggest events.

A Split Vision for the NFL Stage
The controversy highlights a growing cultural divide over the role of the Super Bowl’s halftime entertainment.
The NFL’s Choice: Bad Bunny is a globally recognized artist whose selection underscores the NFL’s push for international appeal. However, his choice drew criticism from conservative circles citing his Spanish-language music and political positions.

The TPUSA Alternative: Erika Kirk and TPUSA have positioned “The All American Halftime Show” as an event focused on “faith, family, and freedom,” promoting English-language performances that align with more traditional values.
Hunt made it clear that she believes the performers should more closely reflect the NFL’s values, mentioning artists like Jason Aldean and even Taylor Swift as future possibilities for the main stage.

As the date for Super Bowl LX approaches, the competing visions—Bad Bunny’s global flair versus TPUSA’s patriotic-focused alternative—are setting the stage for a cultural clash that is gaining momentum with prominent endorsements like that of Gracie Hunt.
