game-winning field goals but also for his outspoken beliefs. Earlier this year, Butker caught flak after a commencement speech where he encouraged women to embrace the role of homemakers, saying they’ve been told “diabolical lies” about prioritizing careers over family.
He stood by his words, explaining, “I was trying to speak life for so many women that have dedicated their life to being the homemaker.” This didn’t sit well with everyone, but Butker, a devout Catholic, didn’t back down, stressing the beauty in prioritizing family over a career.
Fast forward to his latest headline-making move-Butker is now endorsing Donald Trump for president. When pressed by Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle about whether he’s backing Trump, Butker didn’t shy away.
“I think you have to vote for whoever is going to be the most pro-life,” he said, making it clear where his priorities lie. For Butker, it’s not just about politics; it’s about faith and values. He emphasized that voters should be “prayerful men that put God first,” implying that Trump aligns most closely with those ideals, especially when it comes to the pro-life movement.
